The Diamond In The Rough: The Notorious B.I.G. Session
Tonight, psychology pays tribute to agruably the greatest rapper to ever bless the mic. The Notorious B.I.G., died 12 years ago on March 9th, 1997 after being shot four times in the chest. His memmory lives on through his music & the constant reminder that NOBODY could spin a rhyme like Biggie.
Recently Fox Searchlight Pictures released a biopic about Chris Wallace and his rise to fame in the music industry.
Tonight (March 5th), psychology pays homage to Biggie with his acclaimed tribute mix: The Diamond In The Rough, The Notorious B.I.G. Session; airing tonight at midnight on K103. Tune in and/or download here.

The Diamond In The Rough: The J Dilla Tribute
His legacy lives on through many dedications & tributes (including Dave Chapelle's Block Party, which was dedicated to Dilla in the opening credits) including psychology's tribute, The Diamond In The Rough: The J Dilla Tribute, which has aired annually at this time of year paying homage to p-gizzy's favorite producer. psychology's tribute mix has been heralded by many as a touching tribute to James, by simply mixing some of Dilla's most touching pieces of work during his deep yet too short production career.
The Diamond In The Rough: The J Dilla Tribute airs tonight on K103 radio at midnight and can also be downloaded HERE.

This song just became my new favorite for playing in the clubs.. So if you hear me drop this joint, come & join me in the booth for a 3 minute party.. I just may dance a lil' like Jermaine Dupri..
SInce being fired from Island, JD seems to be having some fun in the studio..

DITR: The Notorious B.I.G. Session
With the Biggie biopic hitting theatres tomorrow, I felt it was only right to rehash this classic episode of The Diamond In The Rough. DITR: The Notorious B.I.G. session is a must for any fan of Christopher Wallace. With the weather too cold to do anything outside, I may just find some time this weekend to check out the film. In the meantime, while you wait for the curtain to raise at your local theatre on Notorious, peep DITR: The Notorious B.I.G. session airing tonight at midnight on K103. You can also download the mix here. Enjoy.
RIP Biggie.

RIP James Brown
James Brown (May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006)
The holiday season is filled with many memories for everyone. And at this time of year, its also a chance to remember "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business", James Brown.
Leaving a legacy that can never be repeated, James Brown died on Christmas Day, 2006 from congestive heart failure resulting from complications of pneumonia.
There isn't much I can say about James Brown that hasn't been said before. The Godfather of Soul; is arguably the most sampled person in Hip Hop history and settled for nothing less than perfection from himelf & his musicians. The legacy of James Brown will live on forever.

The Diamond In The Rough: The Ghostface Session
Continuing his streak of an album per year, Ghostface newest release, Ghostdeini The Great, isn't a new album as it is a greatest hit/remix package. Just in time for Christmas, this album will make any Wu-Tang fan as happy as a kid at... well Christmas...

The Diamond In The Rough: The Brandy Session
R&B/Pop Diva Brandy returns after a 4 year hiatus, with her 5th studio album, Human. The former judge of America's Got Talent (excuse me while I try not to burst out laughing), returns to her true talent of singing with long time collaborator/producer Rodney Jerkins executive producing the album (Darkchild was also the producer of the first single, Right Here (Departed).
psychology digs in the DITR archives and re-airs one of the first artist focused episodes of DITR. The Diamond In The Rough: The Brandy Session airs tonight (November 11th) on K103 at Midnight.

Human is in stores & online now.
The Diamond In The Rough: The Common Session
Common's much delayed 8th studio album finally sees the light of day on Tuesday, December 9th. Originally titled Invincible Summer, Universal Mind Control is heavily produced by The Neptunes (70% of the tracks are produced by Chad & Pharell) & has been descirbed as "electro-tinged" and "techno-inspired."
If you have seen Common on tour lately, you may have heard a few of the new songs of the album. The new stuff sounds good and fills in the missing "fun" songs from his catalog of music. The Chicago MC is still hard at work both in the booth and on screen. His next role will be in Terminator Salvation, which comes out in May 2009.
psychology drops The Diamond In The Rough: The Common Session tonight at midnight on K103. Focusing on the 16 year carreer of Common, DITR: The Common Session is a fan favorite from the DITR archives. Tune in tonight and/or download here.

Fromage Money, err I Mean.. Arab Money
This song was cool for about 2 listens. Now its just corny as Hell. I feel like I need to take a shower after I play this record. Yet another reason why Busta Rhymes is a great Entertainer, yet is no where near the top 5 MC's in the game.
Why this song is a hit and Don't Touch Me wasn't; I will never know.
Somebody please put a Jihad on Ron Browz.
