The Score Celebrates 15 Years!!
Man, I'm getting old...
On February 13th, 1996; Wyclef, Lauryn & Pras; better known as Fugees; released their 2nd album, The Score.
Produced mainly be Fugees, The Score was a commercial & critical success. Certfied 7x platinum, it became an album that would win 2 Grammy Awards, along with frequently being mentioned in lists of top albums of all time. Rolling Stone would rank it #477 on its 500 greatest albums of all time. It is noted as one of the greatest albums of the 90s, as well as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
15 years later, people still lose their mind to the opening hymn of Ready Or Not & Killing Me Softly can STILL make the hardest thug sing like he's in church choir..
The Score is a classic album and deserves some recognition. Hence psychology dusting the dust of some classic Fugees vinyl and putting together The Diamond In The Rough: The Fugees Session to help celebrate 15 years of The Score.
