The Diamond In The Rough: The Fabolous Session

September 11, 2001 will always be remembered for the tragedy and chaos in NYC. But 10 years ago, it was also the introduction of a Brooklyn rapper named Fabolous.

His debut album dropped that same day, and despite the world coming to a screaching halt, Ghetto Fabolous made its mark and put Fabolous on the map.

Featuring production from Timbaland, The Neptunes, Rockwilder & more; Ghetto Fabolous sold over 1.05 million copies by 2003. Since then, Fabolous has released 4 other studio albums & numerous mixtapes. Fabolous is one of hip hop's elite and that is why psychology has chosen him to be the next artist to be featured on DITR.

The Diamond In The Rough: The Fabolous session debuts tonight (Sept 8) at midnight on the airwaves of K103 radio.

Naughty By Nature celebrates 20 years

Today (Sept 3rd) marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Naughty By Nature's self titled album. Although this wasn't their debut album, Naughty By Nature; mostly in part to the HUGE single, OPP; was the album that allowed them to make their mark in Hip Hop History.

Their debut album, Independent Leaders, was released under the name The New Style in 1989. Then with a name change and a new attitude; Treach and Vin Rock became one of the few rap acts who were able to balance success on the pop charts with hardcore rap credibility.

psychology digs in the crates & celebrates this milestone by re-releasing The Diamond In The Rough: The Naughty By Nature Session.

Official tracklist for Jay-Z's Blueprint 3

Looks like the rumored tracklist really was a rumor..

It sucks to see that the track co-produced by MGMT didn't make the cut. On the other hand Luke Steele of Empire Of The Sun is on the album. Interesting.
And looks like the collabo with Nas didn't make the cut either...

Kamaal The Abstract: September 15th

After 8 years of being in limbo, Q-Tip's Kamaal The Abstract album will finally see a release date. Battery records plans to release the album on September 15th.

This album was noted for being one of the first hip hop albums to feature the artist singing on most of its songs. Many claim this to be the blueprint to Andre 3000's The Love Below.
