One of the greatest albums of all time, Graceland, celebrates its 25th anniversary. Released in August of 1986; Paul Simon's Graceland played a big part in opening my eyes to music from around the world.
Graceland features an eclectic mixture of musical styles including pop, isicathamiya, rock, zydeco and mbaqanga. Much of the album was recorded in South Africa, and it features many South African musicians and groups like Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Selling over 14 million copies, Graceland, is Paul Simon's most commercially successful album. Not only was the album a commercial success, but was also a critical success; and is still on many short lists for greatest albums of all time.
