I have been lucky enough to get my hands on an advance copy of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which hits stores on November 22nd, and I am completely blown away. This album is a sonic masterpiece!!
I don't want to give anything away, but this album is worth waiting for your favorite record store to open and get your copy. Or log on to iTunes as soon as you get out of bed on Monday..
The deluxe edition will include a DVD copy of the short film, Runaway.

After several lengthy delays, Brass Kunckles, Nelly's 5th studio album is available online & in stores. The album features a long list of guests (Akon, Chuck D, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Rick Ross, , T.I. & Usher to name a few..) & after a few listens does not disappoint. Solid beats, catchy rhymes... Don't expect the greatest lyrics you have ever heard, as Nelly isn't on anyone's top MC's list, but at least it makes sense and there is some social commentary (check out Self Esteem Feat. Chuck D) Brass Kuckles also features the current hit / shoe anthem, Stepped on My J'z Feat. Jermaine Dupri & Ciara.
So after almost 18 months of requests, psychology FINALLY hit the studio, dug through some vinyl & put together a musical hourney through the hit filled career of St. Louis' Nelly. LL Cool J's 13th & final album for Def Jam, Exit 13 was released Sept. 9th, 2008. Initially when this album was to be released 2 years ago, it was to heavily feature executive producer 50 Cent. After lengthy delays & a press statement stating, "I don't think my fans want to hear me rap like 50 Cent", the album only features one track with 50. Other guests include Fat Joe, Ryan Leslie, Wyclef Jean, The-Dream, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, plus others. The first single, Baby (produced by Tricky Stewart) hasn't been one of LL's best recieved singles, but it isn't a total flop...

Originally titled Nigger, the latest album from Queensbridge MC, Nas, hits stores this Tuesday. Having personally listened to an advance of the album, this album is one of 2008's gems /must have albums. I can't see any strong commercial hits coming off this album, but Nas has delivered a QUALITY album. Something that happens rarely these days. Strong lyrics and clever wordplay reign over catchy hooks on Untitled. A variety of producers are featured as Nas puts out on of the strongest hip hop albums in the past few years.
Buy / download.. Whatever... Just get this album and listen.. And I mean listen!!! Don't play in the car while driving.. Put on a pair of headphones & listen!!!
