Converse Spring 2011

It took some time, but Spring has finally arrived in MTL!! Which means many things, including sporting some fresh spring/summer footwear thanks to the good people at Converse Canada.

In late March, I received a hella huge box consisting of some of the dopest models from the Converse 2011 line. Converse has truly stepped up their game and has some styles that allow me to "grow up", but still have the sneakerhead flavor. Now that all the snow & grime has melted away and the sun has finally blessed MTL, I can pull the following shoes out of their boxes and rock them while hustlin' during the day or dropping beats at night..

Star Player II S Ox

Anyone who knows me, knows that a fresh pair of white kicks will always win me over. And these are so fresh & so clean. So much so, that I'm not even sure I will have the balls to wear them without making sure I have a 10 foot "no fly zone" around these, so that they can stay this way..

If I ever get invited to Diddy's all white party, these may be a top contender for the footwear of choice..
________

CT Duck Boot

Now these weren't necessarily part of the Spring 2011 lineup. I slept on these during the fall; but Converse has been so awesome that they let me backtrack and sent me a few pairs of these Chucks made specifically to withstand the tougher weather that fall & winter may have on the classic chuck.

To be honest, during the winter months, I may not show a Converse chuck a lot of love because here in MTL, you just need something warmer and/or something that can withstand the snow & slush. But these CT duck boots are perfect for the rainy Spring weather, and recently we have had a lot of that...

Cons Traposso Mid

These Mids were the shoe that popped out of the catalogue. The Purple/white combo is simple but a lot of fun. Hella comfortable and can take a beating whether you are simple wearing them out & about or attempting a darkside grind, which these can mos def withstand..

Gonna definitely step up my purple game with these babies..
________

Cons Pappalardo Pro

I must admit, these were not on my radar when I saw this model last summer. But Jeff at Converse insisted I give them a chance. He sent me the grey Pappalardo from Fall 2010 and I was sold..

This spring, the Pappalardo gets a shot of color; GOLD!!! Not gonna be easy to match these up, but I may just keep it simple and wear all black, letting these shoes speak for themselves..
________

Cons Pappalardo Ox

I told you I was sold.. Yet another pair of Pappalardos. These are tan and use a lighter fabric than the Gold versions.

As Charlie Sheen would say, and everyone else now, thanks to Charlie.. #winner
________

Sea Star II S Ox

Hands down my favorite model in the entire collection. The Sea Star II S is an homage to all the boat shoe companies out there that I love, but these just have a younger look and are sooo comfy. I love wearing these and this year's perforated leather version is oooh sooo dope..

If you see me out on the town this summer, there is a good chance I will be wearing these...
________

Sea Star II S Ox

Last year I asked if they had the sea star in grey. They didn't.. But that was last year... The grey version of the Sea Star II is hella nice and a classy alternative to black. The burgundy inner is a fresh compliment to the grey, and makes these a must have.

Thank you again to Jeff & Converse for the love.
